Reflection
This standard reflects digital citizenship. This is an important part of computing class because students need to understand the proper way to communicate in the digital world. I have place 3 artifacts on this page that I feel represent standard 4.
Cyber Safety was published using ScoopIT.com. The students use the Cyber Safety page on Scoop. It to review current events resources which are published and made public to members of the class. This tool is a a content curation service for that allows the class not only to locate articles but you can also access infographics and videos. I have placed content on the Cyber Safety page that all students can access at any given time. This allows the students to see various artifacts related to the specific topic and takes the guess work out of locating the resource. The students can all go to the page at the same time and see the same content. The teacher is the one who controls the content on the page.
Digital Citizenship-Phishing is a Power Point that I created to illustrate phishing. Internet scams are part of being online today, and many student fell that they will never be affect because they are just kids. This lesson was designed to we help students avoid being tricked into clicking malicious links or giving out private information. This lesson will teach students how to avoid online identity theft and phishing schemes.
Model v Theory is a research paper I wrote discussing the differences between Instructional Design(ID) and Instructional System Design(ISD). Instructional design facilitates the method in which lessons are organized, presented, and administered, where instructional system design is a method developed with a systematic approach with the sole purpose to facilitate learning a new skill. Instructional technologists can incorporate ID and ISD by utilizing learning theories and models to promote new understanding and knowledge of a given subject. These methods and theories will be used to produce engaging activities intent on teaching new skills and content to a variety of learners.

Future Learning Goal:
My future goals will incorporate the use of the tools and resources that I have learned in the MSIT program at the University of Southern Mississippi. I would like to be employed by a consulting company that provides professional development (pd) to teachers across the country. I would like to instruct and facilitate workshops for educators, that will teach them how to embrace and use the technology they possess in their classroom. I would also like to develop and create pd's that are engaging to educators and geared toward 21st Century Learners. The goal of the training would be to bridge the technological gap that continues to grow between educator and student. I would ultimately like to develop a curriculum that incorporates technology.
