Reflection
Standard 1 is essential, collaboration and communication is vital in the world of education whether it is in a traditional classroom or an online environment. The resources that I have created throughout my MSIT will assist me with my students and future career goals. As evidence of my knowledge I have chosen several artifacts to illustrate standard 1.
I constructed a Cyber Foundations Site in Weebly to assist students. This site allow my students to access their assignments online and will also allow them access to videos and resources for added support. There are times that students may may need to have extra assistance and by placing the information in an online environment this will allow them access at anytime night or day.
I have also incorporated my blogfolio from ITD 645. This course introduced me to an array of new tools that can be used in the classroom to engage students. This artifact represents the use of tools such as Scoop-it, Edupuzzle, Quizzizz, Rubric, as well as the Google Suites applications. These tools are easy to use and can be incorporated into a variety of curriculums.
I also included a Weebly Blogfolio, blogs are great for discussions. They allow students to interact in an online environment, about topics that interest them. Blogs, promote autonomous learning by providing opportunities for students to take more control of their education. As a facilitator I will implement this by creating online classroom discussion on specific topics, that relate to the curriculum. By allowing the students to blog we are creating a person online discussion board. The blog allows students to post replies that will encourage them to read and write thought provoking discussions. These are just a few of the tools that I that I now have in my arsenal that will help me in fulfilling the objectives in Standard 1.

Future Goals
My future goals will incorporate the use of the tools and resources that I have learned in the MSIT program at the University of Southern Mississippi. I would like to be employed by a consulting company that provides professional development (pd) to teachers across the country. I would like to instruct and facilitate workshops for educators, that will teach them how to embrace and use the technology they possess in their classroom. I would also like to develop and create pd's that are engaging to educators and geared toward 21st Century Learners. The goal of the training would be to bridge the technological gap that continues to grow between educator and student. I would ultimately like to develop a curriculum that incorporates technology.
